TEMPORARY CROWN
The temporary crown is designed to protect your underlying tooth structure while the permanent crown is being fabricated in the lab. The type of cement that holds this crown in place is very weak. Therefore, you have to follow the instructions below to prevent the temporary crown from dislodging.

DENTAL EXTRACTION
Gently bite on gauze sponges for 30 minutes after the surgery to encourange the bleeding to clot. Replace with fresh gauze for another 30 minutes if fresh, red blood is present. If bleeding continues after this, bite on a teabag for 30 minutes. If you have any concerns about bleeding, please contact our office.
