Donald Murry Jr. (known to us as "Papa") opened his first office in 1983 at Tuckernuck Square on West Broad Street. He had one employee.

He and his wife Patty welcomed their first son 7 months later. Their second son followed 2 years after that. Don practiced at this location for 10 years before relocating to Powhatan and eventually building the office that now houses Murry & Kuhn Powhatan.

Don practiced on his own for the majority of his career with Patty at his side. Their two little boys grew up around the office and aspired to follow in their Dad's footsteps. The summer before his oldest son started dental school, Don was in a major motorcycle accident that almost took his life. Dr. Kuhn joined the practice in 2006 and kept it going while Don recovered.

Both of Don's sons went on to graduate from dental school and also joined the practice several years after the accident. We have grown a little since then - that one employee has turned into over 40 - but we are still very much a big family.
