Dr. Matthew Winheim

Doctor of Dental Surgery

Dr. Matthew Winheim grew up in Midlothian and graduated from Clover Hill High School before earning a bachelor’s degree in chemistry at Virginia Tech. Dr. Winheim has a passion for encouraging health among his community, which lead him to earn a Masters of Public Health before attending dental school. He focused his master’s research on addressing barriers to accessing dental care for Medicaid enrolled children. This also afforded him opportunities to provide clinical and research support to VCU Pediatric Dentistry residents. After completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery from VCU School of Dentistry he earned a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. Dr. Winheim joined Murry & Kuhn full-time in August 2016, and also serves as a part-time Clinical Instructor with the Advanced General Dentistry residents at VCU. 

In addition to his love for serving his community with excellent dentistry, Dr. Winheim spends time mentoring high school students, training for marathons and enjoying Richmond with his wife and children.
